Kyivstar’s Uklon Expands into Uzbekistan’s Fergana Valley, Plans Launches in Five New Cities
Uklon’s first large-scale expansion beyond Tashkent brings ride-hailing and delivery services to nearly 11 million people
Kyiv, Ukraine and Tashkent, Uzbekistan, August 7, 2026 -- Kyivstar Group Ltd. (Nasdaq: KYIV; KYIVW), the parent company of JSC Kyivstar (“Kyivstar”),Ukraine’s leading digital operator, today announced that Uklon, Ukraine’s leading ride-hailing and delivery platform and part of Kyivstar’s digital ecosystem, is expanding into Uzbekistan’s Fergana Valley, with launches planned in five new cities: Fergana, Margilan, Kokand, Namangan, and Andijan.
Uklon began onboarding drivers in all five cities on August 5, 2026. The launch will proceed in stages, with driver onboarding as the first step, followed by the rollout of ride-hailing and delivery services for users. The Fergana Valley region is the first planned phase of Uklon’s large-scale expansion beyond Tashkent, with the service to be rolled out gradually across the five cities in the region.
“Uklon’s growth in Uzbekistan reflects the same approach we take across our digital ecosystem: identify where people’s everyday needs are underserved and build simple, reliable services around them,” said Oleksandr Komarov, President of Kyivstar Group. “The Fergana Valley is exactly the type of high-density, high-mobility market where ride-hailing and delivery can make a real difference, and this expansion shows Uklon’s potential for scaling beyond its home market.”
The Fergana Valley is one of Uzbekistan’s largest population and mobility hubs. Nearly 11 million people live across the Fergana, Andijan, and Namangan regions, representing approximately 29% of the country’s population, with all three among the most densely populated regions of Uzbekistan.
“Expanding into the Fergana Valley is an important step in Uklon’s international growth strategy,” said Serhii Hryshkov, CEO of Uklon. “Uzbekistan remains a strategic market for us, and moving beyond Tashkent into the Fergana Valley is a natural progression. By launching in five interconnected cities at once, we’re laying the foundation for sustainable long-term growth — bringing the same reliable, high-quality mobility experience that users and driver-partners already know from Tashkent to one of the country’s most dynamic regions.”
Drivers will be able to register and join the platform independently through the Uklon Driver app. Those who need assistance at any stage can contact Driver Care, Uklon’s dedicated driver support service, where specialists will provide guidance on registration and onboarding.
Users in Kokand and Namangan will have access to the Light and Comfort ride classes, while Light, Comfort, and Fast Search will be available in Andijan, Fergana, and Margilan. Users will also have access to Uklon’s 24/7 customer support service.
